Organise & worldbuild

Because "it's all in my head" has never once been true.

Story structure that bends to your plot - parts, chapters, scenes, dragged into order until the story makes sense. Or at least until it looks like it does.
A distraction-free editor - a clean, full-height writing surface that autosaves as you go, so a closed laptop lid is no longer a tragedy.
Version history on every scene - rewrote a paragraph into oblivion at 2am? Roll it back like it never happened. No one has to know.
A codex for your cast and settings - characters and locations with proper descriptions, so you never again give the same knight two different eye colours forty pages apart.
Notes, frontmatter and endmatter - somewhere for the dedication, the acknowledgements, and the seventeen pages of magic-system rules nobody but you will ever read.
Auto-generated cover art - a cover conjured from colour and pattern in one click, a pretty Unsplash image, or upload your own. Go ahead, judge the book by it.

Writing prompts - one-line sparks to shove you off the starting line.
A name generator - fantasy, sci-fi, modern, places, titles and epithets. Because "Bob" can only carry so much epic fantasy.
Story dice - roll for inspiration. There's an emoji picture dice mode too, for when words are the enemy.
A Magic 8 Ball - should this character die? Ask the ball. It is exactly as qualified as anyone else you'd ask.
Keep the good ones - star any name, prompt or roll you fall in love with.

Numbers that are either deeply motivating or mildly threatening, depending on the week.

Your writing life, charted - current and best streaks, an activity heatmap, your writing pace, and your peak writing hour (spoiler: it's later than you'd like to admit).
Goals you actually set - pick a target and a date range and watch the progress bar do the encouraging for you.
Solo sprints - a timer, a blank page, and the pleasant panic of racing yourself.
Words added vs. words deleted - proof that "I wrote nothing today" is often a filthy lie.
Story analytics, three ways - Readability & Tone ranks your filler words and splits dialogue from narrative; Cast shows who appears where and whose eyes we're behind; Places shows where the story actually spends its time. Great for discovering your protagonist quietly vanished for six chapters.

The carrot, the stick, and the small dopamine hits in between.

Reminders on your terms - you choose the day and time, it nudges you in your own timezone, and it never buries you under a guilt-trip digest. One tap, then it leaves you alone.
Achievements that stack up - nine word-count tiers (your first 1,000 words all the way to a frankly suspicious four million) and nine streak tiers. Earned retroactively, and never, ever taken back.
Secret badges - fourteen of them, hidden until the moment you earn them. Night Owl, Speed Demon, Cast of Thousands, Spring Cleaner... and no, we're not telling you the rest. That's the whole point.
A little friendly rivalry - spin up a private leaderboard, share the code with your writing friends, and let word count do the trash-talking. (More on the community challenges below.)

Writing is lonely. This bit is the fix.

A public library - publish your stories and read everyone else's. Favourite them, bookmark them, and leave comments that aren't just "nice."
Beta reading that actually works - invite readers into a draft and collect feedback scene by scene, from people who are emphatically not your mum.
A forum - categories, threads, and the comforting knowledge that someone else is also stuck on chapter twelve.
Group sprints - public timed sprints anyone can join, with the results posted straight to Discord so the winners can be insufferable about it.
Challenges - site-wide events run by the crew: word-count challenges with a shared target and a leaderboard, or prompt challenges where everyone answers the same spark their own way.

Make it yours - pick a colour theme, choose your own writing-surface font, flip on dark mode, set an avatar, give your scene editor a pretty Unsplash background.
It's an app when you want one - install it to your device and get push notifications, or keep it in a browser tab. Your call.
Take your book with you - export to EPUB, DOCX, plain text or Markdown, plus a native format for full backups and moving a story between accounts.
A recycle bin - because "delete forever" should always ask twice.
